Cocktails to Celebrate 40 Years of Saatchi Gallery

To mark the Saatchi Gallery’s 40th anniversary, and the arrival of Lian Zhang’s striking paintings in the Chelsea Bar, we created two cocktails inspired by her world of layered memories and shifting perspectives. Her pieces play with time and storytelling, and guests often find themselves lingering in front of them, drawn into the movement and depth of each scene.

Our Head Bartender channelled that same energy into the drinks, shaping flavours the way Zhang builds her images: subtle overlaps, unexpected notes, and moments that unfold as you sip.

Those who later tasted the cocktails described them much like her art, not as something they drank, but as something they entered.
